Cover All Kids
All children should have access to health insurance. Under the Cover All Kids legislation, children who are under the age of 18, who are not authorized to live in the United States (undocumented), are eligible apply for health insurance under the state’s RIte Care program.
Every Child Deserves Healthcare!
Beginning July 1, 2022, ALL children living in Rhode Island, with a family income below 138% of the Federal Poverty Level can enroll in RIte Care (Medicaid) Health insurance coverage, regardless of immigration status, including children who are undocumented and DACA recipients.
RIte Care coverage includes doctor’s visits, annual school wellness exams, prescriptions, mental health care, hospital care, and more.
There are 3 simple ways to apply:
Apply over the phone at the Health Source RI call center: CALL 1-855-840-4774 (For Spanish, press 2. An interpreter is available for other languages. Press 1 and say what language you need.)
Apply in person with a Navigator in your community: CALL 2-1-1 to to be connected to a Navigator who speaks your language
Apply online: Visit Healthyrhode.ri.gov
